A Walk Down Broadway:
a Musical Revue!
January 17, 2026

A musical revue is a performance of songs unconnected by a continuous plot.
Unlike a traditional book musical, a revue’s primary focus is on showcasing individual musical numbers and performances, thus drawing songs from a wide variety of musicals.
Revues can also sometimes connected by a unifying theme or highlight specific ideas, though it’s msot often loose connecting material rather than a complex storyline

Now’s your chance to live out your Broadway dreams!
Recruit a friend (or more!) and pick your favorite showtune to, well, show off!

CHOSEN SONG/ACT MUST BE:
▪ at least two people
▪ memorized (and in tune, etc, of course)
▪ blocked/choreographed – for help with this, see point #2 below
▪ not longer than 7 minutes (including any scene set-up dialogue)
▪ family-friendly

**If you need assistance finding partner(s) for an act, write your name on the general interest document here.

NOTES
▪ first-decide, first-serve!
The committee will accept the first 14 submitted songs/acts (submissions must include all of following four aspects (which are to be filled out on the official Musical Revue slip):
(a.) song
(b.) list of the people in the song
(c.) at least one alternate song
(d.) signed acknowledgement of attending mandatory dates by all people in the act
(e.) sheet music for song (a.) (no sheet music required for alternate song)
 if an act is submitted after the first 14, the participants can choose to be in an act (Act 15) with other post-14-submissions, in their own number
**disclaimer: more than 2 songs overall chosen from same show will be… policed (likely eliminated – and alternate songs chosen – due to fairness)

ALSO…
(1.) Aside from your song/act, you will also sing in the closer with all performers, and you also have the option of singing in the group opener
(2.) if you would like a choreographer to block your song/act, they are available (at a small charge that goes directly to the choreographer)
